Worship in the Sanctuary at First Presbyterian includes the best worship expressions of the Reformed tradition: the Word of God is central and our congregational, choral and instrumental music centers on God as found in the members of the Holy Trinity. Services regularly include participation of choir and guest musicians. The 11:00 service features the music of our historic Aeolian-Skinner organ.

Cherry Street Worship

in Shirk Hall

Ground Level - Enter off Cherry Street

Handicap Accessible

The Cherry Street Worship Community is a diverse crowd that tends to share a few common characteristics: We believe that the right questions are just as important as the right answers.

We believe that God made us to need one another.

We believe that only an honest understanding of Jesus in our own language will grow our faith.

From the leadership on down, you’ll find real people who believe in a real God and are struggling to practice life with Him and each other. If this sounds like where you need to be in your journey of faith the Cherry Street Worship Community may very well be the next group of people with whom you “do faith.”

The Sacrament of Communion is given

on the first Sunday of each month.

Sunday Morning

Spiritual Formation

(Sunday School)

Here at First Presbyterian Church we seek to do all that we can to support the "with God" life of the people who join our community of faith. We sustain the hope and vision that each person can become their full self and fulfill God’s call for their life by following Jesus Christ with others who desire the same. We create regular opportunities for people to choose the way of Jesus Christ in all areas of life. And we offer introductions to and training in the ancient Christian Practices that have formed faith and Christ’s character in people for centuries.

Christian Formation for Adults

Christian Formation for Students

Faith Formation for Children

Spiritual Formation is happening to us all the time. But Christians can cooperate with the Holy Spirit seeking to have Christ's life formed in us through intentional choices. The choice to be surrounded with a support system of people who also want to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ is an important one.

FPC offers many opportunities for adults to find people who will support each other in a life with God. Sunday morning opportunities at 9:45am and 10:00am - Check out the Sunday Order of Worship or Steeple to People Newsletter to see current offerings.

FPC Student Ministry

7th - 12th Grade

Sunday Mornings @ 10am

FPC Student Ministry is energetic and relational. Building on our foundation of FPC Kids, our goal is to provide an authentic community where young people can discover what it means to be passionate followers of Jesus Christ in our increasingly secular world. Through interactive lessons, activities, bible study, and group discussions, we will learn to listen to what God is doing in our midst.

Children's Faith Formation

Preschool - Grade 6

Sunday Mornings

Nursery for Infants - Preschool

Open 8:15am - 12:15pm

Staffed with professional caregivers

"F.P.C. Kids" is more than Sunday School. Where most Sunday School programs focus on biblical education, "F.P.C. Kids" expands to include teaching faith practices that are forming Christ’s life in children. Worshiping, welcoming, listening, learning, creating and praying are the channels by which faith is nurtured in children. In the classroom we prepare ourselves to hear, engage with God’s Word, respond through creative activities, and reflect on what happens in our classroom. Our aim is that children will grow into F.P.C. - living: Fellowshipping with the Community of Christ, Participating in the Mission of Christ, and Changing into the Likeness of Christ.
